Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, seeks a Superintendent to oversee multiple water/wastewater and heavy civil projects in Texas. You will monitor construction work, manage schedules, labor costs, and coordinate subcontractors and self-perform work while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in water/wastewater, heavy civil or industrial projects.
• Extensive experience with underground and process pipe installation.
• Extensive experience with concrete.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel.
• Be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Full understanding of construction math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor overall construction work for all assigned projects, update schedules and coordinate Subcontractor and Self Perform work.
• Prioritize safety by partnering with the Safety department and Project Management to enforce policies and practices.
• Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to keep budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate with field and project management to address cost and schedule concerns.
• Lead job start and job close meetings and communicate with Project Management to troubleshoot challenges.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
• Provide leadership and build cooperative relationships, acting decisively and responsibly.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
