Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to provide strategic and technical leadership across complex water, wastewater, pumping, and conveyance infrastructure programs. You will guide engineering decisions, support major pursuits, mentor professionals, and help shape engineering standards.

You will work with practice leaders, project teams, and clients to advance technical excellence, governance, and safe, reliable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer licensure required or ability to practice in applicable jurisdictions.
• Extensive experience leading municipal water, wastewater, pumping, conveyance, and treatment projects.
• Proven expertise in pump stations, hydraulic systems, process mechanical design, commissioning, or rehab.
• Demonstrated success as a senior technical advisor on multidisciplinary programs.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, quality systems, governance, and design reviews.
• Experience supporting pursuits, proposals, and client-facing engagements.
• Ability to mentor engineers and foster technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for complex water, wastewater, pumping, conveyance, and treatment projects.
• Advise project teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Support strategic pursuits via client meetings, proposals, capture planning, and interviews.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to shape technical solutions and client relationships.
• Grow Water/Wastewater client base in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
• Serve as senior technical reviewer to improve quality and reduce risk.
