Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Technical Director to shape the future of our water environment. You will guide teams, strengthen technical capability, and influence delivery of industry-leading outcomes for clients like Severn Trent and Scottish Water Horizons.

You will play a pivotal role in growing our water practice within a global network, contributing to projects worldwide and advancing your technical leadership and chartership goals.

Qualifications

• Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
• Familiar with Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of urban drainage modelling capability and keep ahead of evolving methods and standards.
• Support the team lead with day-to-day management of the technical delivery team.
• Provide authoritative technical input on urban drainage projects and support innovative project delivery.
• Apply independent professional judgement to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation.
• Build trusted client relationships and facilitate internal and external project meetings.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and strategic growth opportunities.
• Represent WSP in industry forums and conferences.
• Share knowledge to develop the wider water team.
