Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to provide strategic and technical leadership across North America’s water, wastewater, pumping, and treatment programs. You will guide project teams, mentor engineers, support major pursuits, and help shape technical standards within the Water and Wastewater practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer designation and ability to practice.
• Extensive experience in municipal water/wastewater projects.
• Expertise in pump stations, treatment facilities, hydraulics, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for complex water/wastewater projects.
• Advise project teams through planning, design, procurement, and startup.
• Support strategic pursuits via client meetings, proposals, and interviews.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to shape technical solutions for utilities.
• Grow Water/Wastewater client relationships in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
• Serve as a senior technical reviewer to improve quality and reduce risk.
• Develop and improve engineering standards, guidance, and specs.
• Promote technical excellence through design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Provide expertise in pumping, hydraulics, and process mechanical systems.
• Mentor engineers and support capability development across practice.
• Support talent attraction and industry network development.
