Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning to construction. You will drive schedules, budgets, and quality while mentoring a growing team and expanding client relationships across the western U.S.

The role requires a PE license in Utah (or the ability to obtain) and 10+ years of relevant engineering and project management experience. A competitive benefits package and sign-on bonus support your success.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah (or ability to obtain such a license).
• 10+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Project management experience including development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and successful execution of engineering projects.
• Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities.
• Experience with strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers on Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects—from planning through construction.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload for operational excellence.
• Strengthen client relationships and expand workload with value-driven engineering solutions.
• Mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team focused on quality and accountability.
• Identify new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client presentations to grow regional business development.
• Collaborate with division leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management in the western U.S.
