Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning to construction. You will drive schedules, budgets, and quality while mentoring a growing team and expanding client relationships across the western U.S.

The role requires a PE license in Utah (or the ability to obtain) and 10+ years of relevant engineering and project management experience. A competitive benefits package and sign-on bonus support your success.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah (or ability to obtain such a license).
• 10+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Project management experience including development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and successful execution of engineering projects.
• Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities.
• Experience with strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

This role is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff on a wide variety of Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects—from planning and design through bidding and construction.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring project schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload.
• Strengthen and expand client relationships and workload through responsive, value-driven engineering solutions.
• Guide and mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships by proactively identifying new business opportunities through networking, thoughtful engagement, proposal preparation, and client presentations, supporting the growth of our regional business development program.
• Partner with division leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management throughout the western U.S.
• Play a central role in talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational sustainability.

What we're looking for:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
