Job summary

Apex Companies LLC is seeking a highly motivated W/WW Project Manager/Sr. Engineer with experience in leading civil engineering design projects and providing direction to civil design teams.

This role requires someone located in Oklahoma and offers opportunities to develop new client relationships across public and private sectors. Our teams deliver multi-disciplinary projects and collaborate with Apex services and subconsultant partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.
• Oklahoma P.E. license is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading civil water/wastewater design projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer small decentralized public water systems and waste water systems.
• Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects.
• Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports and take corrective action.
• Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and objectives.
• Mentor young design professionals.
• Participate in business development opportunities.
• Participate in professional organizations and functions.
• Manage project profitability and develop new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
