Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water/wastewater projects in the Tampa, FL area. You will lead project teams, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and coordinate with clients and subconsultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited engineering degree, and 10+ years of relevant experience. You will mentor staff, contribute to proposals, and ensure successful project delivery across disciplines.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater project design and management.
• CAPM or PMP certification.
• Experience with local county/state clients.
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build or P3.
• Experience leading multidiscipline project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with disciplines and subconsultants to define project scope and fees.
• Develop and maintain project plans and quality management plans.
• Create and manage project schedules and track progress.
• Lead subconsultants and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare progress reports and review invoices.
• Mentor team members and support growth.
• Support marketing with proposals and interviews.
• Guide resources to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Communicate status to clients and stakeholders.
