Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects in Knoxville. You will ensure quality, schedule, and budget while guiding project teams and coordinating with subconsultants.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client relationship-building, and business development. An ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and 10+ years of relevant experience are required; PMP/CAPM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater project experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project coordination tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead water/wastewater projects ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with disciplines and subconsultants to define project scope and fee.
• Develop project management plans and quality management plans.
• Create and maintain project schedules and manage subconsultants.
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and manage change orders.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and lead project reviews.
• Support marketing efforts, proposals, and win strategies.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify new opportunities.
