Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking an experienced consulting engineer to lead water and wastewater design projects across decentralized systems. You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and client relations while mentoring junior staff and driving business development.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in water/wastewater consulting, a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, and a P.E. registration. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration or equivalent accreditation.
• Minimum 10+ years of consulting engineering experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Microsoft 365/CRM.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Experience with MCP reporting and environmental data collection.
• Proven ability to meet project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer small decentralized water and wastewater systems.
• Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects.
• Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects and review job costing reports.
• Establish and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and objective fulfillment.
• Mentor young design professionals and scientific staff.
• Participate in business development, marketing presentations, and professional organizations.
• Manage cumulative project totals of $400K annually and achieve profitability goals.
• Develop $300K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports, proposals, and MCP reports.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
