Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in California to lead planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater projects. You will own key components, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with standards and client expectations.

Location flexibility includes remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements from multiple CA offices. A CA PE license and 12+ years of experience are required for this leadership role with potential for business development involvement.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design principles and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications, and technical documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Apply applicable engineering standards, regulations, and design criteria to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate project delivery efforts with internal teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Serve as a Task Lead, Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on larger multidisciplinary projects, with opportunities to manage projects and contracts valued at $1M+.
• Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and technical excellence across project deliverables.
• Support business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
• Contribute to securing and delivering approximately $750,000 to $1.25M+ in new work annually.
