Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure in California, with flexible remote/hybrid in-office options. Active PE license and 12+ years of experience are required.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage projects up to $1M+, and support business development to secure $750k–$1.25M+ in new work annually. California residency and PE licensure are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications, and technical documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Apply applicable engineering standards, regulations, and design criteria to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate project delivery with internal teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Serve as a Task Lead, Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on larger multidisciplinary projects, with opportunities to manage projects and contracts valued at $1M+.
• Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and technical excellence across project deliverables.
• Support business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
• Contribute to securing and delivering approximately $750,000 to $1.25M+ in new work annually.
