Job summary

AE2S in Utah is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the planning, evaluation, and design of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, produce technical reports and construction plans, and drive successful project delivery while building strong client relationships.

This role offers ownership, the chance to handle complex challenges, and a path to expand leadership without leaving engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is ideal or obtainable within 3 months.
• 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping, conveyance, and utility systems.
• Willingness to travel for business development and project responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, evaluation, and design of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee engineering reports, memorandums, specifications, contract docs, cost estimates, permits, and construction plans.
• Serve as project engineer or technical lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with project managers on scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Build client relationships and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff.
