Job summary

Apex Companies seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support our Water/Wastewater practice across New England. This hybrid role can be based in Greater Boston, Providence, RI, or Glastonbury, CT, with travel as needed. You will lead design efforts for drinking water and wastewater systems and collaborate across disciplines.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of relevant experience, a P.E. license or progress toward licensure, strong writing skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 5+ years in drinking water, water supply, or wastewater design.
• P.E. license or progress toward licensure within 1 year.
• Strong writing skills for memos, reports, and contracts.
• Experience coordinating multiple disciplines and consultants.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
• Develop scopes, fees, and schedules with sub-consultants.
• Lead technical solutions for complex projects and oversee design.
• Coordinate with project managers to manage budgets and schedules.
• Attend client meetings and present project deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and support annual performance reviews.
