Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Water/Wastewater Plant Operator to operate and maintain treatment equipment to meet permit and process requirements. The role may lead staff and requires strong safety discipline.

Responsibilities include monitoring control panels, performing routine maintenance, and handling field tests and lab analyses. Prior experience in water treatment and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have math proficiency to perform process calculations.
• Proficiency with PPE and safety procedures is essential.
• Ability to operate and monitor treatment equipment and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Tends automatic and semi-automatic wastewater treatment equipment.
• Monitors control panels and adjusts valves to regulate flow.
• Records operating conditions in the shift log.
• Troubleshoots process issues and takes corrective action per procedure.
• Performs field tests and samples per schedule.
• Performs lab tests and calibrates instruments.
• Operates vehicles for plant operations.
• Adheres to safety and emergency procedures.
