Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years water and wastewater treatment experience preferred.
• Valid IL DEP Class “C” Water Certificate and Class “B” Wastewater Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates wastewater treatment plant equipment such as pumps and valves.
• Collects samples, runs tests, and keeps accurate records.
• Calculates chemical feed rates and adjusts treatment processes as required.
• Maintains plant charts, gauges, and logs; enters data into computer systems.
• Supports preventative maintenance and ensures timely reports.
• Assists regulatory inspectors with plant documentation.
• Responds to chemical or equipment issues, including releases.
• Ensures proper safety procedures in maintenance operations.
• Observes equipment operation and keeps daily log records.
