Job summary

Haydon is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on water and wastewater construction projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, and pipelines. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and engineers to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy civil construction, 7+ years of supervisory experience, OSHA 30, and proficiency with Viewpoint/HCSS/Bluebeam/Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with significant water/wastewater infrastructure exposure.
• 7+ years of field supervision experience on related projects.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Viewpoint, HCSS, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or similar.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (e.g., Excavation Competent Person, Confined Space, NCCCO) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project completion and closeout.
• Develop and manage 3-week look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager.
• Oversee site logistics and complex construction activities (deep excavations, shoring, dewatering, bypass pumping, crane ops, traffic control).
• Plan shutdowns, tie-ins, and live-system work to minimize disruption and maintain safety and schedule.
• Monitor field productivity, manpower, equipment, production, and costs; implement corrective actions.
