Job summary

Rockwell Sterling in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on water and wastewater treatment projects. You will coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and short-term scheduling to keep projects advancing safely and on schedule.

This role demands a strong background in self-performed concrete, piping, and mechanical/equipment installation, with a proven ability to drive safety, quality, and productivity through demanding

A well-established contractor specializing in water and wastewater treatment construction is looking to add an experienced Project Superintendent to its team. The role is responsible for leading day-to-day field operations on complex treatment plant projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.

Role Overview

The Project Superintendent will oversee all onsite construction activities, coordinating field crews, subcontractors, manpower, equipment, and short-term scheduling. The contractor has significant self-perform capabilities, including concrete, process and yard piping, process equipment installation, and associated sitework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily field operations across assigned projects.
• Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and site activities.
• Maintain a strong focus on site safety and enforce project safety standards.

Ideal Background

• Previous experience as a Construction or Project Superintendent.
• Strong experience working on water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience with self-performed concrete, structural construction, process piping, or mechanical/process equipment installation.
• Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Ability to lead crews and subcontractors effectively in a demanding project environment.
