Job summary

Haydon in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee Haydon Superintendents and coordinate trade partners on medium-sized projects. You will work with the Project Manager and team to meet owner, architect, and consultant expectations, while leading safety, quality, and cost control measures.

Ideal candidates have at least 7 years of commercial construction experience, strong scheduling and leadership abilities, and a willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and plan/spec reading.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills with effective communication.
• Demonstrate strong leadership ability.
• Experience working on multi-discipline projects.
• Strong computer skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedule with General Superintendent.
• Lead weekly updates in Primavera P6 and share with owners, consultants, and partners.
• Prepare monthly narrative reports for owners.
• Ensure trade partners have resources to meet durations.
• Plan site logistics including hoisting, security, traffic, and laydown.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and site mobilization.
• Lead Site-Specific Safety Plan and safety meetings.
• Oversee site safety audits and observations.
• Review workmanship for conformance to contract and Haydon standards.
• Document deficiencies with Procore observations and timely action.
• Manage RFIs and field communications.
• Lead coordination meetings with trade partners for all trades.
• Contribute to Site-Specific Quality Plan with project team.
• Coordinate with PM on change orders and cost reporting.
• Assist PM in monthly pay applications and cash-flow review.
• Communicate with Senior/General Superintendent to address roadblocks.
