Job summary

RRC Solutions Group, based in New Jersey, is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer to anchor the technical bench in water and wastewater design. The role focuses on producing designs for treatment facilities, pumps, and distribution systems, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and constructability.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on experience, a PE or near-term eligibility, and solid knowledge of NJDEP regulations and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of hands-on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license, or near-term attainment within ~6–12 months.
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and related federal standards (EPA, CWA, SDWA).
• Excellent technical writing and ability to produce standalone reports and specs.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater facilities and distribution systems.
• Perform feasibility and planning studies under EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and contract documents.
• Coordinate regulatory permitting with NJPDES and related authorities.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines.
