Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum four years in filter plant operations with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Valid PA driver's license required.
• Class A Water Operator Certification within two years as required by PADEP.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of two water treatment plants to ensure supply and quality.
• Plans, assigns, and supervises staff engaged in water treatment processes.
• Sets up, calibrates, and inspects chemical feed and filtration equipment.
• Consults with the water laboratory on treatment problems and chemical quantities.
• Determines need for recovery cleans and membrane repairs.
• Receives and investigates public complaints about finished water.
• Trains operators and other personnel in job duties.
• Processes and organizes timecards, logs, and reports; manages schedules.
