Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience as a water plant operator is highly preferred.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License is required; CDL Class B preferred.
• Class A Waterworks Operator Certification with all subclasses must be obtained within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA for membrane plant and adjust as necessary.
• Operate pumps, chlorinators, feeders, filters and other water plant equipment.
• Take readings and perform calculations for chemical feed rates and flow quantities.
• Enter data and maintain records; dispatch service personnel per procedures.
• Provide instruction on assigned shift and communicate with the public effectively.
• Perform custodial and preventive maintenance duties as needed.
