Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. seeks a Plant Supervisor to oversee water and wastewater facility operations in Pennsylvania. The role includes supervising well operators, coordinating with staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance across distribution and treatment processes.

Responsibilities include monitoring water quality, coordinating capital projects, and maintaining safety and equipment performance. A PA license is preferred and multi-site coordination is possible, with a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of field experience, with supervisory exposure in water operations.
Strong knowledge of PA state and federal drinking laws and regulations; PA Class A Water license preferred, must obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

Supervise well operators daily, conduct visits to wells, tanks, and boosters, and ensure proper chemical dosing and sampling.
Coordinate with staff to resolve monitoring/control issues and test modifications for functionality.
Maintain records and data for reporting and company analysis; manage inventory and capital projects.
On-call rotation and 24/7 availability for emergencies; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Support ONE-PA initiative and regulatory review; supervise union/non-union personnel.
