Job summary

CDM Smith in South Carolina seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to help deliver water treatment facilities across the Southeast. You will lead design teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with clients and sales for project opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license with 10 years of related experience, strong CADD and office software skills, and are prepared to travel as needed to support projects and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities and related water infrastructure, including design signing as engineer-of-record.
• Reviews draft designs and reports for regulatory compliance and signs off on designs.
• Performs water quality analyses and modeling.
• Develops technical papers and design documentation for publication.
• Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals and reviews drafts for regulatory adherence.
• Attends conferences to improve visibility of products and services.
• Collaborates with clients and government officials to address technical questions and provides project updates.
• Provides technical guidance and mentors junior staff.
