CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline projects in South Carolina. The role involves planning and design leadership for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities, managing project teams, budgets, and schedules, and driving new business development.

• Manage water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services from concept through construction.
• Lead and mentor project teams, coordinating assignments and reviewing work.
• Collaborate with technical specialists, delivery managers, and clients to resolve technical questions.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and technical reports for large, complex projects.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules while managing risk.
• Provide high‑level planning and program analysis, including technical documentation.
• Stay active in the water/wastewater industry, attending conferences and participating in professional societies.
• Support new business development through strategic planning, marketing, and proposal creation.
• Review draft proposals for compliance with firm, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Interface with clients and government officials, providing updates to upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• Project management experience on water/wastewater infrastructure design projects in South Carolina.
• Alternative project delivery experience.

Pay Range

USD $120,973.00 – $211,723.00.
