Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to help deliver water treatment facilities across the Southeast United States. You will lead teams, review designs for regulatory compliance, and prepare technical documentation.

Responsibilities include contributing to proposals, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with clients and sales teams to align project goals with regulatory standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Leads teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities and related water infrastructure.
• Reviews designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; signs off on designs.
• Develops technical design documentation and white papers; contributes to journals.
• Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs and reviews drafts for regulatory adherence.
• Meets with current and potential clients to review design needs and improve visibility of products/services.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors them for growth.
