Job summary

Langan, a premier engineering and environmental services firm, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager to lead mission critical water and wastewater initiatives for data center clients nationwide. You will guide due diligence, sourcing, discharge strategies, and permitting, leveraging national technical resources and cross‑functional collaboration across multiple regions.

You will mentor staff, support national client accounts, and help grow Langan’s water and environmental compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• 12+ years in environmental field; 5+ years as PM in consulting.
• PE or CHMM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment technologies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead water due diligence efforts for data center developments and assess source water availability.
• Develop water sourcing strategies using municipal, groundwater, surface water, and reclaimed water resources.
• Advance wastewater discharge strategies including NPDES permitting and water reuse.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on water and wastewater infrastructure planning and integration.
• Provide regulatory guidance on water treatment and reuse applications.
• Lead program oversight for regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination.
