Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager - Mission Critical Water and Wastewater to support its growing national water practice. This individual will lead data center water strategy initiatives nationwide, including due diligence, source water assessments, discharge strategy, water reuse planning, and permitting for data center clients across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in the environmental field, with a minimum of 5 years as a project manager in a consulting environment.
• Professional certification or on track to obtain (e.g.: PE, CHMM).
• Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment technologies and relevant environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead water due diligence for data center developments, including source water availability and regulatory analyses.
• Develop water sourcing strategies across municipal, groundwater, surface water, and reuse options.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on water and wastewater infrastructure planning and utility interface.
• Provide regulatory guidance on water treatment, discharge, and water reuse applications.
