Job summary

McMillen, Inc. in Spokane, WA, seeks a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of water-resource experience to design and manage dams, fish passage facilities, hydropower plants, and other civil infrastructure.

You will contribute across feasibility, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning, mentor staff, perform FEA and non-linear analyses, and ensure compliance with ASCE7, ACI 318/350, and related codes. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation reports and technical memoranda summarizing project criteria and design methods.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques and criteria.
• Perform structural computations using hand methods and design software per current codes.
• Develop drawings by hand or CAD; edit specifications and assist with project manuals.
• Support construction phase activities including submittals, RFIs, site inspections, and reporting.
• Develop FEA models and perform linear and non-linear analyses; present results to clients.
