Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs water resources solutions and seeks a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource work. You will work on fisheries, hydropower, dams, flood control, and related civil infrastructure projects across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities include design documentation, advanced structural analysis, CAD detailing, on-site construction support, and mentoring staff. Travel up to 15% is required; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Design Documentation Reports, Technical Memorandums and other technical reports.
• Evaluate, select and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural computations and analysis using hand calculations and software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand drafting or CAD.
• Edit project specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
• Provide on-site construction services and submittal reviews.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients clearly.
• Evaluate planning, design and construction support services.
• Collect field data and analyze existing conditions for design criteria.
• Mentor other engineering staff.
