Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource-related work. The role involves working on dams, fisheries, hydropower, and other civil infrastructure projects across the U.S. and Canada.

The candidate will perform advanced structural analysis, develop drawings, and contribute to project design through construction and commissioning. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports, Technical Memorandums, and other reports.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural computations using hand methods and design software.
• Develop project details and drawings via CAD or drafting.
• Edit project specifications and assist with Project Manual.
• Support construction phase activities including submittal reviews and site inspections.
• Develop FEA models and perform linear/non-linear analysis; present results to clients.
• Manage planning and design for projects; collect field data and existing conditions.
• Mentor other engineering staff.
