McMillen, Inc. seeks a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource projects such as fisheries, hydropower, dams, and flood control. You will work on diverse civil infrastructure projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong design, analytical, and communication skills, with travel up to 15% to project sites and client locations. An engineering degree, advanced degree, and licensure are preferred as listed in qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure is a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery projects, hydropower, dams.
• Experience with FEA modeling software (ABAQUS/ANSYS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ASCE7, ACI 318/350, AISC 360/341.
• Travel up to 15% of time.

Responsabilités

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports, Technical Memorandums and other technical reports.
• Evaluate, select and apply advanced structural design techniques and criteria.
• Perform structural computations and analyses by hand and with software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand drafting or CAD.
• Edit project specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
• Provide construction support, submittal reviews and on-site inspections.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services.
• Collect field data and as-built plans for design criteria.
• Provide mentorship to other engineering staff.
