Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks an experienced Water Resources Engineer for transportation initiatives through construction project delivery, field engineering, construction documentation, contractor coordination, and reviews to DOTD standards.

Professional licensure is required, with promotion opportunities for DOTD permanent employees. This position is located in District 03 / U170 in Lafayette Parish and reports to the ADA Engineering.

Qualificações

• Current Louisiana PE license required or ability to obtain prior to appointment.
• Two years of licensed PE experience in hydraulics or six years of PE experience overall.
• Advanced degrees substitute for up to two years of professional engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a departmental or statewide technical expert in a specialized engineering area, providing advanced guidance, analysis, and recommendations.
• Performs or directs highly complex engineering reviews, studies, designs, evaluations, calculations, reports, or analyses.
• Provide expert-level technical review of plans, specifications, estimates, calculations, reports, consultant work products, or other deliverables.
• Develops or updates engineering policies, procedures, standards, manuals, or design guidance.
• Provides technical assistance to DOTD leadership, districts, consultants, contractors, or stakeholders.
• Manages, coordinates, or supports complex engineering projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and compliance.
• Reviews consultant contracts, scopes of work, task orders, man-hour estimates, invoices, amendments.
• Provides guidance to lower-level engineers and project teams.
• Researches and implements new technologies and best practices to improve delivery and safety.
• Performs other duties including emergency or disaster support.
