Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Professional Engineer license required.
• Three years of licensed engineering experience or seven years of professional engineer experience.
• Master's degree substitutes for one year; Doctorate for two years; advanced degrees max two years.
• Licensing requirements will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Supervises engineers and engineers technicians in traffic engineering studies and reports.
• Leads design and plan development for district preservation and related projects.
• Oversees contract proposals, specifications, and compliance with standards.
• Provides district-level technical leadership in geometrics, drainage, hydraulics, and flood control.
• Manages surveying, dam safety coordination, and consultant contract administration.
