Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development seeks a Project Engineer to lead construction project delivery, field engineering, and documentation across District 08, Unit 218 (Natchitoches Parish). Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Professional Engineer license is required.
Three years of licensed engineering experience or seven years of professional engineering experience are eligible prerequisites.
Master's or Doctorate degrees can substitute for parts of the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and coordinates construction inspection, contract administration, sampling, testing, surveying, and documentation for assigned projects.
Supervises and trains engineers and technicians on construction projects.
Reviews and approves construction documentation, quantities, diaries, test reports, estimates, and project records.
Coordinates with contractors, utilities, officials, and DOTD staff to resolve issues and maintain progress.
Ensures work complies with plans, specs, provisions, DOTD policies, and legal requirements.
