Job summary

GEI Consultants is seeking an experienced Water Resources/Stream Restoration Engineer to join our Central Region, in office or fully remote. You will contribute as project manager, technical lead, and mentor, growing our water resources practice across North America.

You will develop models, lead studies, drive proposals, and foster client relationships while maintaining technical excellence and supporting staff development. Travel to sites and offices will be required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in water resources or related field.
• BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources; MS is a plus.
• PE license is required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from small to large within technical specialty (dam removals, river restoration, watershed planning).
• Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models for feasibility, design, flood studies and watershed analysis.
• Oversee technical studies, design development, construction drawings, specs, bid documents, and schedules.
• Prepare memoranda and reports; present findings to peers and clients.
