Job summary

KLJ is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with a PE license to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and manage scopes, schedules, and client relationships on a range of infrastructure projects in Colorado.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure designs meet regulatory requirements while applying software like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and OpenRoads Drainage to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• PE license active and required.
• 6+ years of water resources engineering experience.
• Strong hydraulic and hydrologic modeling background.
• Proficiency with industry software and modeling tools for H&H analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical tasks and project management for hydrologic and hydraulic projects.
• Mentor junior staff and review calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients through all phases.
• Ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
