Job summary

KLJ is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with a current PE license to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and project management for infrastructure projects in the Albuquerque area. You will guide teams, model with industry tools, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will mentor staff, manage scopes, and build client relationships while delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license required.
• 6+ years water resources engineering experience.
• Strong background in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software and modeling tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical analyses for hydrologic and hydraulic projects.
• Model using industry-standard software and review calculations.
• Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with teams, subconsultants, and clients across phases.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality and compliance.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to proposals.
