Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Water Resources Engineer in Minneapolis. You will independently manage small to large projects, lead technical analyses, and mentor junior staff while ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness of civil systems.

Ideal candidates have 7–8+ years in water resources, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and have strong communication and leadership skills. Office-based role with collaboration across disciplines and potential client development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience; hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and floodplain analyses preferred.
• Professional Engineer license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple projects, including large, complex ones.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record and provide technical leadership.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Mentor junior staff and review technical work for accuracy.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches; support proposals and negotiations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and constructability reviews.
