Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer with Water Resources expertise to join our client’s Welkom-based team. You will design hydraulic models for water, sewer, and stormwater systems, prepare drawings and cost estimates, and guide projects from site assessments to construction.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background in water resources, 5+ years of civil design experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil design, specifically water and wastewater systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, SWMM) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of water quality, treatment processes, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hydraulic models for water distribution, sewage collection, and stormwater management systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water resource projects.
• Conduct site investigations to inform design decisions and identify challenges.
• Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations, standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and oversight during construction.
