Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 10+ years in civil project management with 5+ in water and sanitation, and familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6 and FIDIC contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Pr.Eng or Pr.CM registration is advantageous.
• 10+ years in civil engineering project management, with 5+ years in water and sanitation.
• Experience managing large-scale public sector projects.
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and related legal aspects.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management.
• Ability to work in Welkom, Free State.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of water and sanitation infrastructure projects, from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Manage client communications and stakeholder engagement, providing regular progress reports.
• Oversee procurement processes, contract administration, and financial management of projects.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure the quality of construction work meets specified standards.
• Facilitate effective collaboration between all project stakeholders, including government departments and utility providers.
