Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Virginia Beach to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. You will guide planning, permitting, design, and execution, while driving business development and client relationships.

Travel to project sites and other offices may be required. The role requires a PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months, with 15+ years in project management and PMP being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
• 15+ years of project management experience in water/wastewater.
• PMP is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to other offices/sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects of varying complexity within multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with regulatory reviews to seek final approval.
• Research and understand regulatory drivers impacting current and future projects.
• Assist business leaders in project revenue forecasting.
• Oversee scope development and level of effort for similar projects.
• Lead efforts to identify, pursue and win water and wastewater projects.
• Mentor local staff and develop succession plans for key projects.
• Perform engineering work related to planning, permitting, design, and implementation of municipal wastewater and storm sewer systems.
• Develop conceptual level plans for municipal civil and utility projects.
• Prepare and present information summarizing analyses and findings to clients and stakeholders.
