Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water, wastewater, and advanced treatment plant construction projects for municipal and industrial clients in the Northern California metro area.

Projects may use CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or traditional Design-Bid-Build. You will plan, staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience.
• 8–15 years of construction, design, finance and management experience.
• 3–5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projects.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong business orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff key field positions or subordinate project managers.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and contacts to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate and correct issues.
• Represent Company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests and maintain client relations.
• Work with the project team to complete the Management Administration Plan and use planning tools.
• Ensure direct reporting employees follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Provide leadership and technical support to project engineers, field engineers and superintendents.
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials via Purchase Agreements and Subcontracts.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and Cost Forecasting and Scheduling.
