Job summary

MWH Constructors in Northern California is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical water, wastewater and advanced treatment plant construction for municipal and industrial clients. Projects may use CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or traditional methods.

You will plan, organize, staff key field positions, manage budgets and coordinate with clients, providing leadership to engineers and superintendents while ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering/construction management degree or equivalent experience and training.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Strong business-orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions or subordinate project managers.
• Establish project objectives, policies and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; implement corrective measures.
• Represent Company in project meetings and labor negotiations/strategy meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interests while maintaining client relations.
• Work with project team to complete the Management Administration Plan prior to fieldwork.
• Assure safety practices and adherence to health guidelines on site.
• Provide leadership to project engineers, field engineers and superintendents.
• Procurement of subcontractors and materials through Purchase Agreements and Subcontracts.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, revenue and forecasting.
