Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks a Construction Manager to join its CMS group for critical infrastructure work in Northern California. You will oversee process mechanical operations and coordinate with clients, regulators, and contractors to deliver projects on schedule and on budget.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, CCM or PMP readiness, and a deep understanding of construction practices within the water and wastewater sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience managing municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects (e.g., treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines).
• 8+ years of management experience, including client interface, marketing and business development, planning and execution, staff supervision.
• CCM or PMP certification required (or intent to obtain within 12 months).
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices, unions, and negotiations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.
• Project P/L experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage process mechanical operations in water and wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
• Interface with client, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies for business development and project execution.
• Develop new business opportunities relative to a client or geographical area.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of company and consultant personnel on assigned projects.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of staff and ensure adherence to safety programs.
• Attend industry networking events.
