Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer focused on water infrastructure to lead design and analyses for treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, and hydraulic structures. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop calculations and construction documents, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires a California SE license or progress toward licensure, strong client communication, and a track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in water/wastewater/public infrastructure.
• Project management experience on Water Resources and related structures.
• Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).
• Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop productive client relationships and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple subconsultants and internal staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active California Structural Engineer (SE) License or ability to obtain license within a reasonable timeframe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and delivering quality work products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Serve as the technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements and standards.
• Develop structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Perform condition assessments and structural evaluations of existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical engineers.
• Review and seal engineering deliverables for quality assurance.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops as a primary structural resource.
• Provide construction-phase services including RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships and contributing to proposals.
