Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of critical water and wastewater facilities in California. You will guide projects from concept through construction, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams to ensure compliant, robust, and efficient solutions.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, active California SE licensure or the ability to obtain it, and strong client engagement

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience on water/wastewater/public infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Proven ability to manage public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, tanks, and hydraulic structures.
• Serve as technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements and codes.
• Develop structural calculations, reports, and construction documents for rehabilitation and expansion projects.
• Perform condition assessments and evaluate existing infrastructure to identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams.
• Provide construction-phase services and respond to RFIs, review submittals, and perform site visits.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
