Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead water and wastewater projects in the United States, with responsibility for design oversight, client communication, and project delivery from scope through closeout.

The role requires a PE or progress toward licensure within 12 months, and 8+ years of water/wastewater experience. You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 8+ years of water and wastewater infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and oversee construction of water distribution and wastewater systems and plants.
• Lead project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, owners and contractors.
• Provide project leadership and mentoring to staff on water/wastewater projects.
• Supervise staff, set priorities, budgets, and schedules.
• Support business case evaluations and alternative analyses.
• Coordinate selection and specification of systems or products.
• Manage project financials: budgets, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
• Lead construction document coordination and contract drawings/summaries.
• Interface with clients and management on scope, schedule, budget.
• Coordinate constructability reviews and QA/QC on projects.
• Stay current with regulatory policy and establish relations with officials.
• Prepare proposals, define scope and budgets, and support contract negotiations.
• Participate in marketing and business development for new projects.
