Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design and process engineering.
• Strong project management and client-relations skills.
• Ability to travel 5–10% across New England.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of wastewater treatment projects, including new facilities, expansions, and upgrades.
• Lead process evaluation and design for primary, secondary, and tertiary systems (BNR).
• Evaluate and optimize treatment processes (activated sludge, MBR, SBR, trickling filters).
• Oversee process modeling, mass balance analyses, and capacity evaluations.
• Develop biosolids treatment solutions, including digestion and dewatering.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
• Prepare and present technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Provide construction-phase services including submittal reviews, RFIs, field inspections, and startup/commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development.
