Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. in Hartford, CT, is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Manager to lead planning, evaluation, design, and rehabilitation of gravity sewers and pump stations for municipal and industrial clients.

You will manage projects through the full lifecycle—from condition assessments and hydraulic modeling to permitting, construction support, and closeout—collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, resilient infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 7+ years of experience in wastewater collection systems and conveyance design.
• Experience with sewer hydraulics and modeling tools (SewerGEMS, SWMM) and pump station design.
• Strong understanding of gravity sewer design and rehabilitation methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of wastewater collection and conveyance projects.
• Lead resiliency and condition assessments, including I/I evaluations.
• Oversee CCTV programs and integrate findings into system improvements.
• Direct hydraulic modeling, capacity analyses, and master planning.
• Lead project teams, coordinate resources, and manage budgets and schedules.
• Perform and review engineering analyses, designs, and reports.
• Prepare proposals, plans, and cost estimates for clients.
• Manage construction-phase services and field coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and build client relationships.
